MEETING OF MEN
The Meeting of Men is a monthly gathering of growth-minded brothers who are committed to holding each other accountable to becoming extraordinary men.

See What Our Attendees Are Saying...

"I’m so grateful for Johnny and all these guys/beautiful brothers, they really made a great space out here."
-  Forest R.
"The biggest take away, is the connection with real guys and being able to talk about real things, not just the superficial stuff. Another thing that opened up for me is love."
- Dave R.
"I had a chance to spend time with men that embraced me at my worst. I could share honestly, I could be vulnerable and nobody judged me, they embraced me."
- Patrick J.
"The moment you can get vulnerable and real with other brothers, strangers even, doesn’t matter, you build a bond."
- Brendan M.
"There’s so much diversity on where we came from and our experiences, when we shared it was like we were all on the same level and I could say ‘I’ve felt that before too."
- Manuel P.
"Do this because it will make you uncomfortable. Do this because it’s not something you would typically do and that’s where change will happen.”
- Londell J.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to stay in the whole time?

There aren’t any latches on the tank doors, and you can get out anytime. You'll have your own locking private room as well with a shower. That said, the 60 minutes usually goes by waaaay faster than you’d expect.

Do I need to bring anything?

If you have longer hair, you may want to bring a brush or comb. If you wear contact lenses, you may want to bring something to put your contacts into while you’re in the tank. Other than that, we’ll provide everything you’ll need (towels, robes, earplugs, body wash, shampoo, etc.).

Is there anything I should do to prepare?

Avoid drinking coffee for several hours before your float (it can make your system jittery). Also, you may not wish to shave or wax since the salt water can cause any nicks or sensitive/dry areas to sting. Eating a light meal about an hour to 90 minutes ahead of time stops your stomach from sounding like an angry monster while you float. Other than that, there’s no specific preparation needed.

What if I’m claustrophobic?

Being in the tanks is more like floating in outer space than being shut in a box. You’re always in control of your environment, and even people with extreme claustrophobia have reported having no problems with their time in the tank. We also have two open float pools. Those would be a great option if the cover on the pods concerns you.

Is floating sanitary?

The water is fully filtered at least three times between each float, passing through a one-micron reverse-osmosis filter. In addition, the water is cleaned using a hydrogen peroxide solution, and UV light process. Each tank and pool also contains approximately 900 pounds of dissolved Epsom salts (also known as magnesium sulfate). Epsom salt works as a natural antimicrobial. In fact, the salt levels in the tank water are so high that microbes and bacteria simply can’t survive in it. Researchers have actually introduced bacteria into heavily salinated water, and it was immediately neutralized.

Will I get dehydrated?

No. Your skin doesn’t even “prune up.” In fact, due to the mineral content of the dissolved salts, you’ll more likely find that your skin has become silky soft afterwards.

Can I Split Gift Cards?

Each gift card is redeemable for the number of floats purchased. You are free to share your gift card number, make your own gift cards with that number, or go down to the store and get individual gift cards with the same number. By sharing your gift card number with family, or friends, they can use entire value placed in that gift card number. So, do so at your own risk.

Can I fall asleep in there?

Yes. Some people fall asleep, and the density of the dissolved salts in the water makes the body so buoyant that you stay afloat. The worst that can happen is getting woken up by a bit of salt water in your eyes.
